- Someone tipped me off last week that the court system database had gone down in Dallas. They said it was now a mess. Now we know why. (This is different that the ransomware attack on the city of of Dallas computers a few months back.)
- The Messenger reports that the mailbox outside of the Decatur post office has been closed due to theft incidents.
- Rainfall totals. That was a lot.
- This sounded like a scene.
- It was a couple of days ago when news broke that a former NHL playing hockey in England had died after having his "throat slashed" by another's players skate. I assumed it was a freak accident, and I blew off some reports of it being an intentional act. Then I saw the video. Now I'm not so sure.
- I really haven't followed the Sam Bankman-Fried trial, but I perked up when I saw this courtroom sketch of him pop up online yesterday to everyone's glee. Turns out, it wasn't real and just something AI generated.
- I've been harping on this for quite a while now.
- When a paywall really frustrates me:
- The Texas Oilman's PAC doesn't know whether to overtly publicize their political intentions towards Wise County or not ever since being caught in the white supremacy scandal.
- Hurtful.
- The famous Ponder steakhouse has shut down.
