Random Monday Morning Thougts

The guy got four months in prison for it.

  • Katy Perry and others will board Jeff Bezo's rocket and fly to "space" and back for 11 minutes. Launch times is scheduled for right now at 8:30 CST.   Livestream here.

  • A weird arson attack occurred on the governor's mansion in Pennsylvania on Saturday night. An arrest has been made.

  • Probably propane related. The home did not have natural gas.

    Before

    After

  • Ten students from the University of North Texas learned about lakes and high winds on Saturday.

  •  A day after Trump’s envoy Steve Witkoff met Putin to try to "end" the war with Ukraine, Russia launched two misses (10 minutes a part) at a populated area in Ukraine killing 34 and injured 117.  Trump called it just a "mistake" by Russia.

  • Off the coast of Florida:

  • Trump and his entourage went to a UFC fight in Miami on Saturday night. Even Ted Cruz got to tag along with Elon and others.

  • Just as I predicted, the Trump Administration is using the Supreme court facilitate/effectuate case to defy the federal district judge. The government made a filing on Saturday which said that Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia is still alive, but that he's now the exclusive property of El Salvador. That's basically a "Not our problem," response.  Side note: The El Salvadorian president is in the White House today.

  • Trump got mad at 60 Minutes last night and said CBS should "lose their license" and wants his FCC chairman to “impose the maximum fines and punishment.” This is fascism.

  • On Friday, Trump declared a 60 foot wide strip of land on the border from the Pacific Ocean to El Paso as under the jurisdiction of the military. That seems ominous.
  • "The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers."
  • Highland Park won its first ever soccer state championship, but somehow used an illegible player during the win.  They "discovered" the error right after the came, reported the issue to the UIL, and the UIL did the only thing the rules allow.

  • Another lawyer providing fake court case citations to an appellate court, most likely the result of using AI. The Dallas Court of Appeals is not pleased.

  • The Fort Worth Court of Appeals affirmed two criminal cases from Wise County late last week - one dealing with a DNA report which was disclosed during the trial.
